Intermediate rings

If intermediate rings are used in the cutting processes, there are usually critically important. During the mounting of the shaft the cutting gap (clearance) is adjusted by the selection of the intermediate rings, because through this the roll shear knives can be positioned precisely.

For this reason intermediate rings must be fabricated taking into consideration the closest tolerances, since success of this cutting process is dependent on this. Also the selection of a suitable tool steel, possibly even in rust-resistant design is a critical factor, just as the heat treatment. Intermediate rings from Herbertz are manufactured to a high standard of precision.

Only in this manner can the tightest thickness tolerances, polished surfaces and edge geometries be polished.
